Of Lincoln passed away suddenly, Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 48.

Born in Boston to his loving and devoted parents Charles E. Stankard, Jr. and Jean C. (Rando) of Lincoln. He was a life long resident of Lincoln. He attended Lincoln Public Schools, and was a graduate of Lincoln Sudbury High School and Middlesex Community College.

John worked in the family excavating business, Stankard Excavation located in Lincoln.

In his spare time, John enjoyed summering in Scituate, Boating, Fishing and to watch sports on T.V., Most of all he loved being with his family and friends.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his beloved brother Charles E. Stankard, III and his wife Stephanie (Chase) of Lincoln, his cherished nieces Emily and Sarah, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons, 773 Moody St., Waltham, Friday from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held from the funeral home Saturday, July 16 at 9 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of John's Life at Saint Joseph Church, 142 Lincoln Rd., Lincoln at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Lincoln Cemetery. Parking attendants will be on duty.
