Good times on Dobbins St

We're so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing.  I wish I could attend the services, but unfortunately I just got released from the hospital on Tuesday after undergoing emergency gall bladder surgery.

I have so many memories of hanging out at your house: throwing the baseball in the front yard; in the swimming pool in the side yard; in the basement playing pool or racing slot cars; listening to cassettes sitting in the old Chrysler; and of course sitting on the front stairs trying to recover from our annual softball team all-nighters!

One of my earliest memories was sitting in your dining room at a birthday party for Brian in the early sixties.  One of the gifts was the latest Elvis Presley album.  Your Mom and your aunts were all excited, but Brian said he wished it was a Beatles Album instead. I thought Brian was in trouble because the Beatles were banned at my house because everyone knew they were "too radical" and "subversive"!!!  But your Mom said "I'll trade you a Beatles album for your Elvis Presley album.  OH!  MY!  GOD!!!    YOUR MOM IS SO COOL!!!

She was hip before we even knew what "hip" was!
