Of Waltham, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday eveningMarch 27th, 2018 in the Newton – Wellesley Hospital at the age of 55.
Born on January 9, 1963 in Waltham; daughter of the late Robert J. Coates and Yvonne (Aucoin) Coates, Lisa was a resident of Waltham for most of her life.
A graduate of Waltham High School with the Class of 1981, Lisa was employed with the Store 24 / Tedeschi Corporation, Tufts Health and most recently with Bright Horizons.
Lisa’s family was the most important aspect of her life, she enjoyed traveling and loved spending time camping with family & friends at Pine Acres Campground in Oakham, MA for the past 20 years. As a child, Lisa loved attending summer camp at the former Saint Josephs' Church Camp Jean Marie and keeps in touch with many of her childhood friends from there.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 33 years Scott T. Wayland, her devoted & loving children Andrew Wayland and his wife Lucy of Attleboro and Alicia Maloney and her husband Jeff of South Hadley, her dear siblings Robert J. Coates Jr. of Nashua, NH, Linda J. Goguen and her husband Gerard of Pembroke, NH and Brian D. Coates and his wife Alison of Waltham, her sister-in-law's Anush and Eva Coates, her mother-in-law Helen M. Wayland of Waltham, and her Godchildren Michelle Rheaume, Jennifer and Ryan Coates. In addition she is survived by many nieces, nephews and numerous cherished friends.

Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Lisa’s Life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Saturday morning March 31st at 11:00 a.m. Visiting Hours will be held in the Brasco & Sons Memorial Funeral Home on Friday March 30th from 4 – 8 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
