Santa Gallello
Of Auburndale passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Thursday, November 30, 2017 at The Tufts Medical Center in Boston. She was 80.
Born in Petillia Policastro, Calabria, Italy to the late Frank and Teresa (Bruno) LeChiara, one of seven children, she moved to Newton as a young girl where she has been a resident ever since.
Mrs. Gallello worked for the city of Newton for many years until retiring several years ago.
She will be remembered by her family and friends as a loving and caring woman who always put her family first.
She will join her beloved husband of 61 years in heaven late Vincent S. Gallello, Sr. who passed away just two months ago.
She is survived by her loving and devoted children Vincent Gallello, Jr. of Newton, Lisa Boudreau and her husband Edgar of Nashua, Frances Gallello of Nashua, Theresa Gallello of Newton, Frank Gallello and his wife Paula (Hawe) of Holbrook, MA, and Tina Gallello Of Newton, and her sisters Anna Parise of Italy, Maria Musto of Westwood, and Theresa Hutton of Weston . She is also survived by 11 cherished grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Vincent, Rosario and Felicia LeChiara.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend funeral services from the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Saturday, December 9, at 10 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration at St. Bernard's Church, 1523 Washington St., Newton at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4-8 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
