Of Waltham, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday September 12th, 2017 in Newton - Wellesley Hospital at the age of 45.
Born on November 23, 1971 in Waltham; beloved daughter Ismael Diana Sr. and Carmen L. DeLeon, Evelyn was born, raised and has been a lifelong resident of Waltham.
A graduate of Waltham High School with the Class of 1990, Evelyn furthered her education at the Computer Learning Institute in Somerville. She worked at Tufts Health in Waltham and Watertown for several years before becoming a Massage Therapist with Massage Envy in Waltham & Watertown.
Evelyn had a strong faith in her God and was an active & devoted member of Saint Mary’s Parish Community in Waltham. Her life was her faith and her family. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother & grandmother. Evelyn loved taking her kids to the beach at Hopkinton State Park and when she was younger traveling the White Mountains and Florida with her family.
Evelyn is survived by her High School Sweetheart and Soulmate of 7 years Frantz Sylvestre, her cherished children Carmen Yessenia Sylvestre, Jacob Javier Sylvestre and Jarissa Edie Sylvestre all of Waltham, her adoring grandson Julian, her beloved parents Carmen L. DeLeon of Orlando, Florida and Ismael Diana Sr. of Manchester, NH & Costa Rica, her devoted siblings Andrea Diana of Orlando, FL, Ismael Diana Jr. of Franklin, NH and Michael Diana of Waltham, and her dear sister-in-law Melissa Owens. In addition Evelyn is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family & close friends.
Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services in celebration of Evelyn’s Life from the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Tuesday morning Sept. 19th at 9:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Mary’s Church, 145 School Street, Waltham at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham. Visiting Hours will be held in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons on Monday Sept. 18th from 4 – 8 pm.
