Born in Ireland he has been a United States Resident for many years.

He was the son of the late Michael & Anne Harney, and the brother of the late Father Stephen Harney, Villa Rosmini, Independencia Venezuela, S.A..

He is survived by his sisters and brothers, Mary Kenney of Ballindrimley/Castlere, County Roscommon, Ireland, Breege Stewart, Haggardstown Dublin, Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland, Thomas Harney of Lissadell/Charleville, Tullamore, County Offaly, Ireland, Joseph Harney, Castle Hill, New South Wales, Australia, Michael Harney, Ballyforan/Ballisasloe, County Galway, Ireland, his cousin, Sheila O'Brien of Brighton. In addition he is survived by many Nieces & Nephews.

Services will be held from the Mary Catherine Chapel of the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, Waltham on Monday February 6th at 9:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Columkilles Church, Market Street, Brighton at 10:30 a.m. Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be at the "Mary Catherine Chapel" on Monday morning from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. Interment Saint Joseph's Cemetery, West Roxbury. Parking attendants will be on duty.
