Of Brockton, passed away peacefully on Friday October 16th, 2015 after a brief illness at the age of 67.
Born on January 16, 1948 in Waltham; son of the late Paul Kavanagh and Margarita (Thompson) Kavanagh, Paul was raised in Waltham and lived for a period of time in Norwood before moving to Brockton in 2001.
A graduate of Waltham High School, Paul was employed as a Custodian throughout his life.
Family was the most important aspect of Paul’s Life; he loved to spend time with his family and friends.
Paul had a passion for sports. He loved playing basketball, softball and especially golf. He attended numerous High School Hockey games, went to every Latin-English Thanksgiving Football game, and was a season ticket holder of the New England Patriot’s and Boston Celtic’s. In his spare time he enjoyed reading.
He is survived by his beloved wife Marcia Elizabeth (Crowdle) Kavanagh, his loving sons Dennis Kavanagh and Michael Kavanagh both of Brockton, his dear siblings Charles Kavanagh of California and Stephen Kavanagh of Brockton. In addition he is survived by 2 cherished grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many devoted friends.
Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Gathering in celebration of Paul’s Life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Monday morning Oct. 26th from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Feake Cemetery in Waltham.
