Of Waltham, passed away Saturday evening 4th of October 2014 in Newton – Wellesley Hospital with loving family by her side at the age of 92.
Born on 2nd of February 1922 in Saugus; daughter of the late Luigio and Rosalie (Orifice) Orifice, Rosalie was raised in Saugus and had moved to Michigan then to Watertown and eventually Waltham in 1958.
During World War II Rosalie worked in the Naval Shipyard and had been a Seamstress throughout her life. She began her career in the clothing industry in Boston and eventually became the Proprietor of her own clothing line and business.
As a young woman she had her own band and was a Guitarist and Singer in the band with the nickname “Penny”. She was a member of a Harley Davidson Motorcycle Riding Club with her late husband. She raised and showed standard Dachshunds at the Boston Garden. She was passionate about Roller Skating and had been a longtime member of the Roller Skating Association International (RSIA) and the American Theatre Organ Society (ATOS). Rosalie hosted over 1500 free Theatre Organ Concerts in their home for thousands of people from all over the world.
Rosalie was an active and devoted member of Sacred Heart Parish Community as a member of the Ladies Guild and Saint Mary’s Parish both in Waltham.
She served on several local charitable boards and organizations including the Bentley University Young Entrepreneurs and the Waltham/Watertown Chapter of the AARP Boards. Rosalie hosted many Foreign Exchange Students in her home for many years. She was active in local politics and supportive of many candidates.
Rosalie was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother throughout her life. She loved spending time with family and friends especially with her grandchildren.
Beloved wife of the late Pasquale J. “Patsey” Fucci.
She is survived by her loving & devoted daughters Ellen L. Foster and her husband Patrick "Rick" H. Foster of Allenstown, NH; Joanne T. Fucci-Newberry and her husband Harold M. Newberry III of Bedford, NH; and Barbara A. Fucci of Waltham, her cherished grandchildren Robert E. Ford, David S. Falzone and Christine M. Arancio, her adored great grandchildren Cody; and twins Talon and Camdon, her dedicated nurses and caretakers Celina Cabral, Maria Silver and the many others who took care of “Mama” from the Visiting Nurses Association. In addition she is survived by many nieces & nephews.

Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services from Brasco & Sons Memorial Funeral Home, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Thursday morning Oct. 16th at 9:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Rosalie’s Life at Saint Mary’s Church, 145 School Street, Waltham at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham. Visiting Hours will be held in the Funeral Home on Wednesday Oct. 15th from 2:30-4:30 & 7 – 9 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
