Of Hudson, passed away suddenly early Thursday morning October 2nd, 2014 in her home at the age of 83.
Born on June 13, 1931 in Waltham; daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Miner) Priest, Ruth was raised and lived most of her life in Waltham before moving to Framingham for 18 years then to Hudson for the past 9 years.
Ruth was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother throughout her life. She was an avid New England sports fan who enjoyed cooking and baking.
She is survived by her loving children Mary R. Gulledge of Hudson, Cheryl A. Reid of Woburn, Charlie “Chip” Gulledge of Watertown, and Cynthia L. “Cindy” Finney of Hudson. In addition she is survived by her 7 cherished grandchildren, 4 adored great grandchildren and numerous dear nieces & nephews.
Beloved sister of the late Barbara Yelinek, Mary Torchia, Charles, Robert and William Priest.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Ruth’s Life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons on Tuesday morning Oct. 7th at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery in Maynard. Visiting Hours will be held in the Brasco & Sons Memorial Funeral Home, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Monday morning Oct. 6th from 4 – 8 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
