Of Waltham passed away, Monday, April 7, 2014, at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 87.
Born in Concord, MA, November 6, 1926 to the late Vincenzo and Francesca (Maglione) D'Agostino, she moved to Waltham with her family as a young girl, where she has been a resident ever since. Her family owned and operated D'Agostino Farms in Waltham.
Lena worked with her husband as the controller for Gerard V. Beaudoin Plumbing for over 30 years. She was a member of The Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, and Contracting Association of Massachusetts (PHCC).
She was a longtime member of the Piety Corner Club, and an avid golfer and bowler. She was a member of the Oakley Country Club in Watertown and bowled in the Oakley Country Club league at the Wal-Lex. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, and Traveling the world with her husband. She learned to speak French after the age of fifty.
She was the beloved wife of the late Gerard V. Beaudoin, Sr., and sister of the late Josephine Piccariello and her husband Carmine, and sister-in-law of the late Virginia D'Agostino.
She is survived by her loving children Beverly Beaudoin Linstad and her husband Robert of New Jersey, Gerard V. Beaudoin, Jr. and his wife Jacqueline (Gould) of Waltham, and Vincent Beaudoin and his wife Ann (Murphy) of Belmont, her brothers Gennaro D'Agostino of Waltham, and Samuel D'Agostino and his wife Mary (Parisi) of Waltham, and her cherished grandson Gerard V. Beaudoin III of Waltham, she was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours, Wednesday, April 16, 2014, from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., Waltham followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Lena's life at St. Mary's Church, 145 School St. at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Parking attendants will be on duty.
