Of Belmont, died Friday morning, December 17th, in her home at the age of 102.

Born in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Yirovec) Ivaska.

A graduate of Radcliffe College, Ms. Ivaska was a French Teacher for the Town of Somerville's School System.

She was active member of her church.

Ms. Ivaska was predeceased by her sister, Mildred J. Ivaska and her brother, Joseph P. Ivaska.

She is survived by her niece, Helen Ivaska Stewart of Gig Harbor, WA and her nephews, Benjamin D. Ivaska of Folson, CA and J. Paul Ivaska, Jr. of Las Vegas NV.

A Memorial Service in Celebration of Elena's Life will be held on Saturday, January 8th at the First Church in Belmont, 404 Concord Avenue, Belmont at 1 p.m. Private Interment was held at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. The Brasco and Sons Memorial of Belmont assisted the Ivaska Family with arrangements
