Obituary for Brenda Marie Hansen (Lombardo)

Brenda Hansen, age 83, of Marlborough MA, passed away quietly on March 27, 2024.

The daughter of the late Frank and Delta (Amicangioli) Lombardo, Brenda grew up in Newton MA. As a teenager, she worked at Candy Land in Waltham, where she met Roy, the young man she would marry and ultimately celebrate 55 years of marriage.
They raised their family in Waltham and later moved to Marlborough MA. In the years that followed, Brenda was happy to be a full time Nana to the grandchildren she loved to talk about.

Before her husband’s passing in 2014, they enjoyed spending winters in Venice, FL and Brenda often reminisced of their time at Venice Beach. Brenda was good with names and remembering tidbits of information and could easily recall stories about long ago people and places.

Once she moved to New Horizons, she mastered the skill of living a life of leisure. No cooking, no cleaning, activities, and plenty of people to chat with.

Predeceased by her husband Roy Hansen, Sr and brothers, Frankie, Wayne, and Dennis Lombardo.

Brenda is survived by her son Roy Hansen Jr and his wife Eileen and daughter Diane Reilly and her husband Thomas. She also leaves to cherish her loving memory, her sister Delta Saulnier and her husband Donald, as well as six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many more extended family members.
Brenda passed knowing that she was loved.

Friends and family are respectfully invited to gather and remember the love Brenda shared during Visiting Hours on Friday, April 12th from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. with a celebration of her life beginning at 11 a.m. in The Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco and Sons Memorial Chapels, located 773 Moody Street Waltham, MA. Parking Attendants will be on duty.

Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery’s Mausoleum located 250 High Street Waltham, MA.

Those who wish to pay their respects to Brenda and her family but are unable to attend, are welcome to sign the family’s guestbook at www.brascofuneralhome.com
