Obituary for Justine Whooley (Kaufman)

Justine Kaufman Whooley, surrounded by family, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2023, after a three-year battle with sarcoma.

Her cheerful optimistic disposition, wonderful sense of humor and generosity made her a friend to many. Justine and Mike’s passion was raising and spending time with their dog babies Ela and Skee and giving them the best life possible.

Every year they looked forward to relaxing and sunning in Aruba, their favorite holiday destination. Throughout the years Justine and Mike were always generous to others and donated and distributed food to the homeless in an effort to share their good fortune.

Justine’s strong work ethic and organizational skills endeared her to fellow colleagues and clients. Because of her thirty plus years working for Aetna/CVS, she developed a fountain of medical knowledge which she gladly used to assist her family and friends whenever possible.

Justine leaves behind her devoted husband Michael J. Whooley; her loving children Michael J. Whooley II, his partner Megan and their daughter Kendra, Erin Whooley Blood and her husband David, and her beloved furry companions Ela and Skee.Justine also leaves behind her adoring parents Jerry and Carol Kaufman, her loving brother Eric Kaufman and wife Kei, caring sister Monique Collin and husband Herve, sister-in-law Debbie Strati, her nieces and nephews; Alison Massano, Danielle Doyle, Robert Kaufman, William Kaufman, Jacob Kaufman-Strati and his children Alessi and Archer.
