Obituary for Susan Joy Hersey (Lutz)

Susan Joy Hersey (Lutz),69, of Milford, formerly of Framingham, passed away suddenly on June 2nd.

Born on Monday, May 17, 1954, to the late Joseph and Hope Lutz in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Susan married Gary Hersey in 1982 in Waltham, MA. and lived in Waltham for many years before moving to Framingham in 1994. She worked for many different companies over the years as a medical biller.

Susan loved spending time with her friends and family, including her Sunday morning breakfast club. A nurturer by nature, she always placed the needs of others before her own never expecting anything in return. Susan loved spending time at Old Orchard Beach, Maine. She was truly happiest on the beach. In her spare time, Susan also liked going on cruises and just enjoying life with the people she loved and cared about.

Susan is predeceased by her beloved husband of 38 yrs. Gary W. Hersey; her mother and father, Joseph and Hope, her two sisters, Vivian and Helen and her brother, Joseph Jr.

Susan is survived by her loving son, Robert Hersey and his wife Amanda. She leaves her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Kathy Hersey of Waltham, along with her niece, Kaitlin Hersey of Waltham, nephew, Peter Hersey of Waltham, her sister-in-law, Carol Ann Hersey of Reading, and other family, Leo Hickey and William Tamulewicz, Jr. and dear friends.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to gather and remember the love Susan shared during Visiting hours on Thursday, June 15th from 4 pm until 6 pm, with a Celebration of Susan’s life beginning at 6 pm. In The Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco and Sons Memorial Chapels, located 773 Moody Street Waltham, MA. Parking Attendants will be on duty. Susan’s Interment will be held at a later date at Mt. Feake Cemetery, located 203 Prospect St. Waltham, MA.
