Obituary for Anthony "Tony" Pino

Anthony was known and loved by all that knew him, whether as Pa, Nonno, Nino, Tony, Anthony, Antonio, Pino, Tio, brother, cousin, friend, or sweetheart. Anthony Pino was born in Filicudi, Sicily, Italy, August 6th, 1948, migrated to Argentina in 1951, and emigrated to the United States, the final place he called home in 1962.

In 1981, Anthony and his brother Frank Sr. started Pino Bros. Inc., which continues to this day. Anthony enjoyed fishing and living on the Cape when he wasn't working. His love for music was known by everyone who loved him. Anthony was honest, loving, kind, and funny. A man of strong character, his pride was built from a foundation of respect, hard work, family unity and love. He would do anything for anyone in need and was one of a kind, and will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Josephine Pino, his brother Rev. Nicolas Pino, and brother-in-law, James Harrington.

Anthony is survived by his loving partner and “sweetheart” of 29 years, Kathleen Serrano; his sons, Joey and Daniel Pino and Daniel’s companion Danielle Castillo; his stepson Jonathan Serrano and his wife, Kara Jo; his grandchildren, Joshua, Kyra, Nevaeh, Noah, Lilly, and Joey. He is also survived by his sister Verna Pino-Harrington, his brother Frank Pino Sr. and wife Maria Pino, his sister-in-law Naomi Ruth Pino, his nieces, nephews, cousins and loving dog Annie.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to gather and remember the love Anthony Shared during Visiting hours on Wednesday, March 22nd, from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in The Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco and Sons Memorial Chapels, located 773 Moody St., Waltham. A Funeral Service in celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, March 23rd at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow immediately after in Newton Cemetery, located 791 Walnut St. Newton, Mass. Complimentary Parking Attendants will be available.
