Obituary for Patricia F Duarte (Sheehan)

Patricia F. (Sheehan) Duarte, 84

Of Sudbury, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 23rd, 2023 surrounded by her loving family in the comfort and care of her residence in Orchard Hill at Sudbury at the age of 84.

Born on March 21, 1938 in Cambridge; daughter of the late Daniel E. Sheehan and Elizabeth (Fitzgerald) Sheehan. Patricia was raised in Cambridge where she lived for many years before moving to Somerville to raise her family. She later moved to Sudbury where she has resided for the past 37 years.

A graduate of Sacred Heart High School with Class of 1956; Patricia had been employed as a Bankruptcy Specialist with the United States Treasury Department. Over the years while residing in Somerville, Patricia served as an Election Official for numerous local, state and federal elections.

Patricia was a devoted parishioner of Saint Catherine's Church in Somerville over the years and a member of the parish guild.

After moving to Sudbury, she was very active in the community joining the Sudbury Senior Center and the Sudbury Villagers.

In her spare time she enjoyed reading, playing bingo and traveling, especially to Ireland.

Family was always first and foremost; she cherished the time spent with her family especially her children and grandchildren.

Patricia is survived by her husband Robert Duarte; her devoted & loving children Brian Duarte and his wife Eileen of Pelham, NH; Judy Kendall and her husband Robert of Plymouth; Richard Duarte and his wife Karen of Waltham; and Arlene Graff and her husband Robin of Sudbury; her cherished grandchildren Brittany, Brianna, Baylee, Colin, A.J., Ryan, Hunter, Hayley and Emily. In addition she leaves many nieces & nephews, that will all miss her dearly.

She was predeceased by her dear siblings Theresa Burke, Catherine Hanlon, Edward Sheehan, Dorothy Johnson and Barbara Hall.

Those who wish to pay their respects to Patricia and her family can do so in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Sunday, February 26th from 12PM until 3PM. Family and friends will gather and celebrate Patricia's life and remember the love and friendship she shared at a Funeral Service following Visiting Hours in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons on Sunday at 3:00 pm. The Burial will be held at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge on Monday February 27th at 11:00 a.m.
