Of Newton, passed away peacefully early Monday morning February 20th, 2023 at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston at the age of 84.
Born on January 9, 1939 in Brockton; George was raised in Carver and had resided in Waltham for most of his life before moving to Newton a short time ago.
George had been employed as a Dietary Aide at the Waltham Hospital for over 35 years.
He lived his life to the fullest; George enjoyed his Friday nights at the Rendezvous Restaurant on Moody Street in Waltham. His caretakers were his family, and he loved all the family gatherings and special occasions. He enjoyed catering for the many cookouts over the years. He was an animal and nature lover, who enjoyed long walks with his dogs "Fannie" and "Princess".
He is survived by his devoted & loving friends and caretakers Robert F. D'Agostino and Marcia L. D'Agostino of Waltham and their children Sean, Scott and Lisa and their families. In addition, he is survived by many friends.
Family and friends are welcome to gather and celebrate George's life and remember the love and friendship he shared with others at a Graveside Funeral Service at Calvary Cemetery, 250 High Street, WALTHAM on Friday afternoon February 24th at 1:00 pm.
