Obituary for Gianfranco Dorigatti

Frank Dorigatti

Of Waltham, passed away peacefully Saturday February 4th, 2023 surrounded by his loving family at Spaulding Nursing and Therapy Center in Boston at the age of 82.

Born on April 24, 1940 in Trieste, Italy; beloved son of the late Giacomo and Silvana Chicco Dorigatti. Frank was raised and educated in Italy before immigrating to the United States as a young man. He spent several years in Newton before moving to Waltham over 60 years ago.

Through hard work and determination, Frank learned the language and went to work as a Sales Agent for the Prudential Life Insurance Agency in Malden.

A simple man that devoted his life to his family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.

In his spare time he loved spending time working in his yard and in the garden

Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Catherine (Kalliakos) Dorigatti; his devoted & loving daughters Anne Marie Dorigatti of Reading; and Sandra Palermo and her husband Mike of Reading; his cherished grandchildren Alexandra and Nicholas; and his dear sister Ariella Grady of Chelmsford; and nieces Debbie Mathis and her husband Steven their children Jessica and Nicole and Laurie Couillard and her husband Patrick their children Patrick and Sarah all of Chelmsford.

Those who wish to pay their respects to Frank and his family can do so in the Brasco & Sons Memorial Funeral Home, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Thursday, February 9th from 3:00 - 7:00 pm. For those who wish to pay their final respects, but are unable to attend, please be sure to sign the guestbook at www.BrascoFuneralhome.com. Parking attendants will be on duty.

Family and friends are welcome to gather and celebrate Frank’s life and remember the love and friendship he shared with others for a Funeral Service in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons on Friday morning February 10th at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Chelmsford.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to MGH Cancer Institute, 55 Fruit Street, Boston, MA.
