Obituary for Margaret E. "Peggy" Boyle (Walsh)

Margaret E. (Walsh) Boyle

Of East Falmouth & Lexington, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday January 4th, 2023 with her loving family by her side in MUSC Health University Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina. She was 74.

Born on December 10, 1948 in Boston; daughter of the late Thomas Walsh and Marion (McCarthy) Walsh. Peggy was raised and educated in Boston. She lived the majority of her life, raising her family in Lexington. For many years she spent the summers on Cape Cod in East Falmouth, and after retirement she enjoyed spending time at her home in Naples, Florida.

A graduate of South Boston High School with the Class of 1966; she had been employed as a Paralegal and Office Manager for a local law firm in Lexington. 

Family was the most important aspect of her life; she cherished the time spent with her family especially her grandchildren. 

Peggy was a longtime member, serving on the Board of Directors for the Seacoast Shores Association in East Falmouth. 

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 53 years Stephen H. Boyle in October of 2022.  

Peggy is survived by her devoted & loving children Kimberly Sullivan and her husband Ricky of Galivants Ferry, SC; James "Jamie" Boyle of Burlington; and Amy Royce and her husband Tommy of N. Andover; her cherished grandchildren Stephen, Erin, Alex, Sydney and Allie; her adoring great grandson Brayton; and her dear siblings James "Jimmy" Walsh and his wife Demitra "Toula" of East Falmouth; Thomas "T" Walsh and his wife Jodi of Weymouth; Michael Walsh of Malden; Janice Allen and her husband Mike of Lunenburg; Lois of San Jancinto, CA; and the late Robert "Bob" Laiweneek, Sharon (Boyle) Fenton and her husband Barry of Mashapee. In addition she is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Those who wish to pay their respects to Peggy and her family can do so in the Brasco & Sons Memorial Funeral Home, 325 Trapelo Road, BELMONT on Saturday morning January 14th prior to the funeral service from 9am until 11am. Family and friends are welcome to gather and celebrate Peggy's life and remember the love and friendship she shared with others at a Funeral Service in the Brasco & Sons Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday morning January 14th at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Belmont Cemetery.
