Charles “Charlie” J. Goulding of Waltham, passed away on Wednesday December 28th, 2022, at Newton-Wellesley hospital due to respiratory complications.
Born in Quonset Point, Rhode Island on Tuesday, June 1, 1954, he was the son of the late Joseph V. and Jeanne M. (Hallett) Goulding. Charlie was a 1972 Graduate of Waltham High School and has been a lifelong resident of Waltham.
After completing high school, Charlie worked for W.H. Nichols and then moved on to work at Thorntons Associates. He also worked part-time at Michael J’s, bartending and hanging out with friends. During the summer months when he had spare time, he would love to drive to the beach with his bottle of baby oil, six pack and soak up the sun. As an avid reader of current events, Charlie loved to discuss what was going on in the world. An armored exterior with a kind heart, he will be missed.
Predeceased by his beloved sisters, Joan E. Korner and Jane M. Goulding.
Charlie is survived by his children Jason Pierce of Los Angeles, CA, Jessica Moody and her husband Jesse of Waltham and Shane Goulding of Colorado Springs, CO; his grandchildren Isabella, Zoe, Evan, Nicholas, Ellie and JR; and his siblings Philip J. Goulding and his wife Michele, of Holliston and John R. Goulding of Waltham, his lifelong friend and caretaker right up until the end Gail Gardiner, along with many nieces and nephews.
