Edwin T. Zabaleta
Of Waltham, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday afternoon December 7th, 2022 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston after a long illness at the age of 32.
Born on February 3, 1990 in New Bedford; beloved son of Wilfredo Zabaleta and Amelia Ortiz. Edwin has resided in Waltham since 1995.
A graduate of Waltham High School with the Class of 2009; Edwin worked for a period of time at the Stop & Shop Supermarket in Watertown.
He had a passion for music; he not only loved listening to music but creating it as well. He loved sports, especially basketball and enjoyed playing video games.
Edwin is survived by his devoted & loving parents Wilfredo Zabaleta and step-mother Rosita Zabaleta of Waltham; his mother Amelia Ortiz; and his dear siblings, Jessica Zabaleta, Wilfredo Zabaleta Jr., Mario Santos and Jasmine Zabaleta.
Those who wish to pay their respects to Edwin and his family can do so in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Son Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Friday, December 16th from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. Parking attendants will be on duty.
Family and friends are welcome to gather and celebrate Edwin’s life and remember the love and friendship he shared with others at a Funeral Mass in Saint Mary’s Church, 145 School Street Waltham on Saturday morning December 17th at 10:00 AM.
