Margaret J. "Cissy" Hehir (Borelli)

Of Newton, passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning October 26th, 2022 at Maristhill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Waltham at the age of 79.

Born on December 11, 1942 in Boston; beloved daughter of the late John F. Hehir and Dorothy (McManus) Hehir. Margaret was raised and lived in Watertown for many years before moving to Newton in 1968.

A graduate of Saint Patrick's High School, Margaret went on to further her education at Bryman Institute. She was employed as a Medical Assistant at Glover Memorial Hospital in Needham and Saint Elizabeth's Medical Center in Brighton.

Margaret, also known as "Cissy," enjoyed all types of arts & crafts in her spare time. She was a parishioner of Our Lady Help Of Christians Church in Newton for many years and enjoyed attending weekly mass before moving to her nursing home.

She is survived by her son John Borelli Jr. and his wife Christina of Lake Mary, FL; and her devoted & loving daughter that cared for her in every way possible, Melissa Borelli of Watertown; and the late Steven F. Borelli; and her dear brother Joseph Hehir and his wife Mary of West Newton. She is also survived by many cherished nieces & nephews.

She was predeceased by her siblings Jackie and Georgie Hehir.

Those who wish to pay their respects to Margaret and her family can do so at the Brasco & Sons Memorial Funeral Home, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM prior to the Funeral Mass on Monday, October 31st from 10:00 - 11:30 am. For those who wish to pay their final respects, but are unable to attend, please be sure to sign the guestbook at www.BrascoFuneralhome.com. Parking attendants will be on duty.

Family and friends are welcome to gather and celebrate Margaret's life and remember the love and friendship she shared with others at a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday afternoon October 31st at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 573 Washington Street, NEWTON at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery in Needham.
