Karen Passerello 71, of Waltham Ma., passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, morning July 2, 2022.
Born to the late Lawrence and Mary Krahn (Welch) on Friday, May 04, 1951 in Dorchester, MA.
Karen was a fierce, clever, and strong-willed person with a generous heart, a playful and mischievous sense of humor, and a love for music that filled every room she was in whether it be her hospital room or bedroom. She married the late Carl Salvatore Passerello of Waltham in 1973, and together had three children whom they loved dearly.
During her time on this earth Karen touched many people's lives; whether while running various political and fundraising campaigns. Spending many years working direct care for the clients she lovingly cared for at the Fernald State School. She excelled at helping seniors navigate the difficult world of health care while working customer service for Tufts Health Plan. She created bonds with people that were closer to family than friend. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Carl Salvatore Passerello and her sister Lori Nevins (Krahn).
Karen is survived by her devoted children, Kara Passerello, Joseph Passerello, and Kathryne Passerello all of Waltham Ma; her three adoring grandchildren Jake Gustafson Benjamin Gustafson, and Rita Gustafson. As well as her siblings, sisters Mary Krahn, Kathleen McAndrews, Ruth Griesemer, Paula Therrien (Glenn), her brother Rusty Krahn (Joyce), her brother -in- law Scott Nevins as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
