Robert J. "Bobby" Vasquezi

Of Waltham, passed away early Sunday morning June 5th, 2022, with his loving family by his side at Lahey Clinic Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington. He was 75 years old.

Born on December 31, 1946 in Waltham; he was the son of the late Giacomo Vasquezi and Mary (White) Vasquezi. Bobby was raised, educated and had resided in Waltham for most of his life. He spent a period of time in Burlington and for many years traveled to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

A graduate of Waltham High School with the Class of 1964; while in High School Bobby was an all-star athlete in the Suburban League as a Basketball player. He loved sports and over the years played doubles in Tennis with his brother. He had a passion for golf and later in life and had been a member of several different country clubs including; Sandy Burr Country Club, Inner Club of Wayland, Ma, Largo-Mar Country Club and Grand Oaks Country Club both in Florida.

Bobby co-owned and operated Boston Cedar & Millwork, a wholesale wood products business out of Mansfield, Ma. Through the years he became actively involved with many of the Lumber Industry associations. He served on the Northeastern Retail Lumber Association’s NRLA; the Harry L. Folsom Club #13; the Sliver Club; and was a member of the International Order of Hoo-Hoo. He shared the honor of MRLDA Lumber Person of the year in 2009 with is longtime friend Tony Morgan. In 2014 Bobby was awarded the CHIPS award by NYLE.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years Susan Vasquezi; his devoted & loving daughter Cheri Dennett and her husband Ed of Gilford, Nh; his cherished grandchildren Anthony Vasquezi, Marlie Dennett and Parker Dennett; his sister-in-law Patricia Vasquezi of Waltham; and his daughter in law Nicole Vasquezi- Rode. In addition he is survived by his nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

He was predeceased by his loving son Scott Robert Vasquezi and his dear brother Dennis E. Vasquezi.

Family and friends are welcome to gather and celebrate Robert's life and remember the love and friendship he shared with others at a Funeral Service in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Thursday June 9th at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham.

Those who wish to pay their respects to Bobby and his family can do so in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Thursday morning prior to the service from 10am until 12pm. For those who we love and care about the family asks attendees to be mindful of social gatherings.
