Noel Aviles Molina
Of Waltham, passed away peacefully early Friday June 3rd, 2022 with his loving family by his side at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston at the age of 62.
Born on August 3, 1959 in Orocovis, Puerto Rico; beloved son of the late Federico Aviles & Herminia Molina. Noel came to Waltham as a young boy, and was raised, educated and a resident for the past 50 years.
A graduate of Waltham High School with the Class of 1979; Noel had been employed as a Foreman for Sharp & Tools Manufacturing in Newton & Hudson for over 45 years.
His family was always a central focus of his life and he enjoyed all the time spent with family and friends. He loved to gather the family for the holidays, and any and all celebrations; he loved cooking, entertaining and having a beverage or two with others. His presence would light up a room. He was selfless in every way, always working hard to provide for his family and allow them to be the people they are today. He was a "Mr. Fix It" around the house. Noel had a passion for music and loved singing but most especially playing the guitar.
He is survived by his devoted and loving children Cristina Torres of Lunenburg; and David "Powwow" Aviles of Leominister; his cherished grandchildren Eliot Vega, Joselito Rijos, Jalessi Aviles, Suraly Aviles and Vivianaly Aviles; his dear siblings Osvaldo Aviles of Puerto Rico; Minerva Aviles of Connecticut; Anibal Aviles of Lancaster; Maria Aviles of Puerto Rico and Zulma Santiago of Puerto Rico; and his former wife Yolanda ( Rosado ) Aviles of Waltham. In addition he is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, extended family and close friends.
He was predeceased by his dear sister Marisol Aviles in 2013.
Family & friends are welcome to gather and celebrate Noel's Life and remember the love & friendship he shared with others at a Funeral Mass at Saint Mary's Church, 145 School Street, Waltham on Saturday June 11th at 10:00 a.m.
Those who wish to pay their respects to Noel and his family can do so in The Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Friday June 10th from 5pm until 8pm. We ask that friends please be mindful and respectful of social gatherings.
