Obituary for Edward Joseph Berbine Sr.

Edward Joseph Berbine, Sr. 75, of Waltham, Ma. passed away on Monday, April 25th, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.

Born to the late Donald J. Berbine and Regina M. Berbine (Thibedeau) on Wednesday, January 15, 1947, in Halifax Nova Scotia.

Ed came to the United States with his parents at 14 years old settling in Reading, MA. where he spent most of his childhood. After enlisting in The United States Army, and serving in The Vietnam War this hard-working man who loved his family dearly discovered his passion for cars. As an avid car enthusiast, as well as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for the majority of his life. There was nothing he couldn’t fix, he was always willing to get a little (or a lot) dirty to get the job done, usually wearing a new white tee shirt. Ed enjoyed the simple things in life, classic movies, soul music, making along fixing things, and spending time with family.

Ed is survived by his loving wife Esther Berbine, his children Cindy, Mello, and her husband John of Peabody, his son Edward Berbine, Jr. of Sandwich, MA., Amy Berbine of Swampscott, MA. son Brian and his wife Nicole Berbine of Maynard, MA. and daughter Jennifer Casey (Berbine) and her husband Jon of Waltham, MA. his sisters Rosalie Thibeault and Darlene and her husband Pat Sharkey of Reading, MA., Elaine Doherty of North Andover, along with many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Ed was very loved, will be missed, and in the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to gather and remember the friendship and love Ed shared during visiting hours on Thursday, May 5th, 2022 from 9 am to 10 am In The Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco and Sons Memorial Chapels Located, 773 Moody Street WALTHAM followed by a Celebration of Ed’s life to begin at 10 am. Interment will be held at 12:30 pm in The Massachusetts National Cemetery located Connery Ave, Buzzards Bay, MA. 02542
