Anna Julie Mazzarini, 82 of Waltham passed peacefully on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center.
Daughter of the late Antonio and Paolina Mazzarini (Carpentino) Ann was born on Friday, January 19, 1940, in Waltham, MA.
Ann Mazzarini worked at the Waltham Super Market in their bakery and became the family’s go-to for wedding and birthday cakes. She also worked at Raytheon Waltham on Seyon Street for 40 plus years and retired at 62. Since that time, she had taken on the role of family matriarch for her mother Paolina who passed in 1992. Ann loved going to Foxwoods, Bingo, playing the lottery, going out to eat at the Chateau, or anywhere she could get onion rings. She also loved her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and nephews, especially when she had the opportunity to celebrate their birthdays or watch a scary movie together. She ruled the roost at 34 Barbara Road and nobody dared sit in her recliner when she was ready for it.
Ann is predeceased by her brothers James Mazzarini, Carmello Mazzarini, John Mazzarini, Salvatore Mazzarini, Paul Mazzarini and by her sisters Elizabeth Ross and Barbara DeAmicis.
She is survived by her sister Marie Christine Goodale and her brother Anthony Mazzarini. Her brother, the late Francis Mazzarini, survived Ann by only a few days. Her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews were very involved in her life and celebrated with her and the family, especially on Christmas Eve, Easter, and Labor Day annual picnics.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to gather and remember the love Ann shared during Visiting hours on Monday, May 2nd, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. ~ 7:00 pm in The Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco and Sons Memorial Chapels, Located at 773 Moody Street Waltham, MA.
