Born on October 15, 1953, in Cambridge, MA; son of the late Paul E. Whittier, Sr., and Mildred W. Whittier (Button).

Paul grew up in Belmont, MA, was a graduate of Belmont High School, and attended Northeastern University. He later moved to Northborough, MA, where he and his wife, Jean, raised their children, Jason and Carolyn. He worked as a Software Engineer at Raytheon for over 35 years prior to switching careers and opening his own business as a Massage Therapist for another 12 years.

He always had a passion for helping others and his community. Paul was deeply involved in youth sports programs, serving as the President of Northborough Baseball, Commissioner of the Babe Ruth League and starting a Soccer Club, FC Puma. He was committed to do all he could to support cancer research, fundraising for The Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund walk the last 8 years, and raising funds for many other charities.

Paul was devoted to his family, coined the term “the Papi Do List”, always willing to drop anything to help with what was needed. He created and continued many family traditions, including hosting large family gatherings around all of the holidays. He was passionate about genealogy, connecting with family members from all over the world.

He spent his mornings filling the house with music and always singing along. Paul was a diehard Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots fan.
