Obituary for James George Kendis

James G. Kendis

Of Waltham, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning January 15, 2022, in his home at the age 41.

Born on June 19, 1980 in Newton; beloved son of George Kendis and Sally Mae (Whelan) Kendis. James was a lifelong resident of Waltham, and a graduate of Waltham High School with the Class of in 1998.

After graduating from Waltham High School, James continued his education at Curry College and Bentley University.

James loved watching and playing sports; he played in several adult hockey and softball leagues. He also enjoyed playing cards, especially poker.

James was a charmer, he was funny, and full of life. He cared so much for his family and friends, always willing to be there for those he loved.

He is survived by his beloved parents George and Sally Mae; his devoted & loving sisters Lisa S. Kendis of Waltham and Kristin Tremblay and her husband Sean of Billerica; and his nephew Kameron Sean Tremblay and niece & goddaughter Olivia Rae "Ollie" Tremblay. In addition he is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous close friends who will miss him dearly.

James was reunited in Heaven with his loving brother John S. Kendis, who passed away in 2008.

Family and friends are welcome to gather and celebrate James life and remember the love and friendship he shared with others at a Funeral Service in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco and Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St. WALTHAM on Friday afternoon January 21st at 12:00 pm.

Those who wish to pay their respects to James and his family can do so in the Brasco & Sons Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday January 20th from 5pm until 8pm. We ask that friends be mindful and respectful of social gatherings and wear a mask.
