Obituary for Sylvain L. Villeneuve

Sylvain Villeneuve, age 62 of Newton, MA, passed away Friday, December 10, 2021 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.

Sylvain was born on October 9, 1959 in La Guadeloupe, Quebec Canada, but was a long time resident of Massachusetts.

In his younger years, Sylvain was an avid scuba driver, golfer and hockey player. As an active member of the French American Victory Club in Waltham he loved playing guitar, tending to his garden and as an expert carpenter, he loved working with his hands.

Preceded in death by his parents, Alphonse Villeneuve and Bibiane Turcotte, and his sister, Yolande Villeneuve.

He is survived by his son Lucas Villeneuve and his wife Katiann Villeneuve, as well as his siblings and their spouses; Therese Villeneuve, Germain Villeneuve and Elizabeth Leclair, Lionel Villeneuve, Joey Villeneuve and Marie Collette, Jeanne Villeneuve, Claude Villeneuve and Sylvaine Saint Pierre, Michel Villeneuve and Irene Blanchette, Ginette Villeneuve, Claire Villeneuve and Yvon Patry, and Jeannette Villeneuve and Francois Royer.

For the safety of those we love and care about during the recent spike in COVID cases and closing of Canada's Border. At this time, the private Celebration of Sylvain's life to be held for close family and friends to gather and remember the Love he shared has been postponed to a later date to be announced by the family.

As an expression of sympathy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Sylvain’s name to the American Stroke Association at stroke.org.
