Alexandra Innocent-James
Of Boca Raton, Florida, entered eternal rest and peace Tuesday April 6th, 2021 in her residence from the pain, struggles and challenges of Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome (PTSD). She was 36 years old.
Born on April 27, 1984 in Waltham; beloved daughter of Esther Derisme. Alexandra was raised in Waltham and lived for a period of time in Haiti and had moved to Florida 4 years ago.
Alexandra attended high school in Haiti and after graduation joined the United States Navy. She served proudly and honorably during the Global War on Terrorism. She had worked and volunteered at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Florida for a period of time.
It was while Alexandra was in the Navy and stationed in Okinawa, Japan that she developed a love and passion for all things Japanese. She loved the the food and culture. It was her dream to return to Japan and become a teacher.
Alexandra had a generous spirit, a kind and loving way about her and although her life was way to short, the impact she had on others in just a short time will live on in the hearts and minds of those she touched.
She is survived by her loving son Tavaruis James; her beloved mother Esther Derisme; her cherished grandmother Claire Derisme and dear siblings Jeffrey, Thaisha and Daniel. In addition she is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, who will miss her dearly.
Family & friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Alexandra’s Life, to remember the love she shared with those she touched in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM this Thursday, April 22n at 10:00 a.m.
For the safety of those we love and care about during this difficult time; and for those who wish to pay their respects to Alexandra and her family can do so in accordance with CDC, Federal, State and Local guidelines during Visiting Hours prior to the service on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Due to the on-going pandemic, we ask that friends please be mindful and respectful of current limitations in regard to social gatherings.
Her burial with United States Navy Military Honors will be held at the V.A. Massachusetts Veterans National Cemetery in Bourne on Thursday April 22nd.
