Diane F. (Cocco) Flanagan

Of Walpole, passed away unexpectedly Saturday March 20th, 2021 at Boston Medical Center at the age of 74.

Born on October 20, 1946 in Waltham; daughter of the late Dominic F. Cocco and Lucy M. (Sullo) Cocco.

Diane was raised in Waltham and had lived in Nashua, New Hampshire for 15 years prior to moving back to Massachusetts, residing in Norwood and Walpole for the past 3 years. Diane spent the last 20 years worth of winters at her home in Boynton Beach, Florida.

A graduate of Waltham High School; Diane had been employed with the Federal Government Defense Department as a Management Analyst for the majority of her career.

Diane enjoyed going to both the Norwood and Walpole Senior Centers; spending time with family, listening to music, shopping and taking scenic rides with her close and dear friend Ralph.

Diane joins her beloved husband, the late James F. Flanagan, her brother-in-law, the late Dominic Quintiliani of Norwood, her dearly departed sisters, Donna (Cocco) Sutton of Nashua, NH and Lucille (Cocco) Fortin of Waltham.

Diane is survived by her devoted & loving family, especially her sister Carol Quintiliani of Norwood; her dear aunt Linda (Sullo) Rodriguez of Watertown; and several generations of beloved nieces and nephews. She cherished the grandmotherly role she held with her great nieces & nephew, Audrey Quagliozzi of Lowell, Eleanor Fortin-Stokes of Quincy, and Charles Fortin of Nashua, NH. She will be greatly missed as well by her dearest friend Ralph Guange Jr. of Saugus.
Dear sister of the late Donna Sutton and Lucille Fortin; and her brother-in-law the late Domenic Quintiliani.

Family & friends are welcome to gather and celebrate Diane's life and remember the love she shared with those she touched at a Funeral Service in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons on Friday morning March 26th at 10:00 a.m.

For the safety of those we love and care about during this difficult time, and for those who wish to pay their respects to Diane and her family can do so in accordance with CDC, Federal, State and Local guidelines in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, Waltham, MA., on Thursday March 25th from 4 - 7 p.m. We ask that friends please be mindful and respectful of current limitations in regard to social gatherings.
