Walter R. Corriveau
Of Waltham, passed away on Saturday morning March 13th, 2021 in Maristhill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Waltham at the age of 77.
Born on July 6, 1943 in Cambridge; beloved son of Joseph and Nellie (Wright) Corriveau. Walter resided in Somerville and Maynard for a period of time but most of his life in Waltham
Walter worked as a young man at Waltham Bag & Paper Company; and for years as an Auto Mechanic for Newton Yellow Cab in Newton.
Walter loved being around his family and always cooked for them, cooking was a joyful time for him. He was a WW2 buff who enjoyed looking up anything on the computer in relation to bomber jets and old footage of WW2 fighter jets. As a child he loved going to the movies Charlie Chan was a favorite he loved the serials most of all.
He loved working on cars especially his 57' Ford; and his later years he enjoyed playing on the computer.
Walter is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Joan B. Corriveau; devoted and loving children Lorraine Corriveau Robaczewski and her husband Edward of Everett; Walter R. Corriveau Jr. of Medfield; and William D. Corriveau of Waltham; his cherished granddaughters Nicole and Elissa; and his dear siblings Joseph his wife Arlene Corriveau of Maynard, Jon his wife Dorothy Corriveau of Watertown, Terry her husband Walter of Ashland, Sandra Jordan of Laporte TX. Janet Kelley of VA. Also, his many nieces and nephews.
Walter was predeceased by Clifford Knox of CT his dear sisters Paulette Gustafson of GA, and Judy Vaccari of Stow.
Funeral Services in celebration of Walter’s Life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM this Thursday, March 18th at 11:00 am. - 12:00 p.m. His burial will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham.
For the safety of those we love and care about during this difficult time; and for those who wish to pay their respects to Walter and his family can do so in accordance with CDC, Federal, State and Local guidelines during Visiting Hours prior to the services on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Due to the on-going pandemic, we ask that friends please be mindful and respectful of current limitations in regard to social gatherings.
