Josephine "Josie" A. (Gagne) Fraser
Of Waltham, passed away Wednesday morning March 10th, 2021 at Newton - Wellesley Hospital after complications due to Covid-19 at the age of 66.
Born on May 6, 1954 in Valley Fort, Pennsylvania; daughter of the late Charles Gagne and Charlotte (Fuller) Gagne. Josie was raised and resided in Needham, Massachusetts and had moved to New Hampshire for a period of time before moving to Waltham, Massachusetts, where she has spent the past 30 years.
A graduate of Needham High School with the Class of 1972; Josie had been employed with Boston Scientific and Tech Devices for most of her life. She caring for others and for a brief period of time she worked as a Home Health Aide.
Josie's greatest enjoyment in life came from traveling with her husband to New Hampshire and Maine.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 25 years Lee M. Fraser; her devoted & loving step-children Kenneth Fraser and Lee M. Fraser both of San Antonio, TX; her dear siblings Rosie Finn and her husband Bill of Hopkinton; Jeanette Gagne and companion Frank Crocker of Newburyport; and James "Jimmy" Gagne and his wife Nancy of Medford; and her sister-in-law Elizabeth "Betty" Kingsbury. She is also survived by her step-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family who will miss her dearly.
Friends and family are invited to attend Funeral Services in celebration of Josephine’s Life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM this Wednesday, March 17th at 12:00 p.m. Her burial will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham.
For the safety of those we love and care about during this difficult time; and for those who wish to pay their respects to Josie and her family can do so in accordance with CDC, Federal, State and Local guidelines during Visiting Hours prior to the services on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Due to the on-going pandemic, we ask that friends please be mindful and respectful of current limitations in regard to social gatherings.
Those who choose may make donations in Josie's memory to the MSPCA.
