Of Wareham, passed away peacefully early Thursday morning February 18th, 2021 surrounded by her loving family in the comfort of her home in Wareham at the age of 94.
Born on December 31, 1926 in Taunton; daughter of the late Albanian immigrants Jack Peters and Arabella (Stephen) Peters.
Pandora met her husband Demetre in Taunton; they moved to Annapolis, Maryland as a young couple while Demetre was serving in the military. They would return to Massachusetts settling in Medford where they raised their family and lived for many years before moving to Wareham over 20 years ago.
She worked alongside her husband as an Administrative Assistant at Applied Measurements Corporation in Acton; she went on to work at Floral Gift Shop and finally as a Sales Associate with Lord & Taylor Department Store.
Pandora had an exceptionally unique talent and passion for painting; as a young woman she was awarded a scholarship which was rare during her era to the Rhode Island School of Art. She loved the beauty of nature and being outdoors, especially in her yard gardening or going to the beach. She loved flowers.
Her family and her friends were always first and foremost; she was a social butterfly and cherished the time spent with everyone; especially her trips for the M.I.T. reunions and occasionally to the casino. She had a special way about her that attracted friends from all over.
With a strong connection to her heritage; Pandora was an amazing cook with different Albanian recipes. She was an avid reader and a Sunday did not go by without Pandora reading the Boston Globe from front to back.
Without question she had a strong faith in her God; she had been an active and devoted parishioner of the Albanian Orthodox Cathedral of George in South Boston and longtime member of the St. George' Women's Guild.
Beloved wife of the late Demetre Peter Ligor and loving mother of the late Michael J. Ligor.
Pandora is survived by her devoted & loving children Norma M. Deprospo and her husband the late Michael J. Deprospo of Rochester; and Andrew J. Ligor of Wareham; her cherished grandchildren Justin M. and Jonathan P. Deprospo and Nicholas J. Ligor; and dear sister of Cynthia Files of NH; and the late Sophie Kolunie and Ann Peters. In addition she is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss her dearly.
