Beulah P. Best
Of Danvers, Ma. peacefully transitioned from this life at Beverly hospital on Febuary 03, 2021 surrounded by her family at age 77.

Born on June 24, 1943, In Lenoir County, N.C.; as the fourth child of 12 children born of the late Johnnie and Mable (Wooten) Parks. Beulah learned early the value of hard work, sharing and the importance of working together as a family. Building upon her education in the Lenoir County Public School system she combined both traditional and non- traditional careers for women in her era by obtaining certifications in both Nursing and Welding. Years later she and her husband the late Theodore R. Best moved to Washington, D.C. where they began their lives and from this union welcomed two children, the late Calvin R. Best and Tracy D. Best.

In 1998 Beulah came to Massachusetts for the birth of her youngest granddaughter, making the supreme sacrifice never retuning to North Carolina only to visit. She stayed to help her daughter raise her two children so that she could continue her education. A true testament of her wisdom, strength and selfless nature.

Over the years, Beulah has overcome and lived with illness but it has never wavered her zest for life, her laughter, her flare for fashion, ability and desire to care for, support, and love her family, Church family and friends. She has always attributed her will, want and ability to survive all things to God’s loving grace and the love and prayers of her children, grandchildren, relatives, friends, and church family.

Beulah was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Mable Parks; three brothers, Jasper Parks, Odis Parks; Clarence S. Parks one sister, Maybeline Parks and her loving and devoted son, Calvin R. Best.

Beulah leaves to cherish her loving memory one daughter, Tracy D. Best (Kenneth L. Wooten) of Danvers, Ma. her grandchildren, ShaQuanda and Diamond Best of Danvers, Ma. C’mille Best-Brown (Brandon) of Greensboro, N.C. Calvin Chaney of Charlotte, N.C.; three great grandchildren Zenobia and Zeniya of La Vergne, TN, Kal-El R. Chaney two sisters, Sally Taylor of La Grange, NC, Gladys Parks of Forestville, MD; four brothers, Johnnie Jr. Parks, Harold Parks (Dawn); Donald Parks, of La Grange and Wilbert Parks (Jackie) of Snow Hill, NC; sister-in-law Barbara Parks, and a special sister in Christ Irish Manuel. An adoring nephew Reggie Parks, whom she often referred to as “uncle Reg” Numerous nieces and nephews who were all like her children and a host of other loving family and friends.

You are forever in our hearts; we love you Big B!

Beulah was the kindest, most loving mother and gramma. We have so many fond memories of her over the years from Diamond’s soccer games to Thanksgiving celebrations. She was more special than words could ever describe and I know how much she will be missed. She is in God’s loving arms and resting, now, in peace. Sending love and prayers, The Donovan Family
