Obituary for Donna M. Bastarache (Landry)

Donna M. (Landry) Bastarache

Of Waltham, passed away early Wednesday morning January 27th, 2021 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family after a long illness at the age of 54.

Born on October 26, 1966 in Waltham; daughter of Robert Landry and the late Sharon (Young) Landry. Donna was a lifelong resident of Waltham. A graduate of Waltham High School with the Class of 1985; Donna worked as an Administrative Assistant in her early years until starting a family.

After the marriage to her beloved husband and soulmate at Saint Joseph's Church in Waltham in 1990, Donna devoted her life to her husband and raising her children. Her life revolved around everything in the family; she was always there for every one of her kids' events from cheer leading to hockey games. As her kids grew older she returned to work as a Cafeteria worker at the McDevitt and South Middle Schools in Waltham. She went on to work at the R.T.N. Credit Union in Waltham until her illness forced her to retire.

Donna had a strong faith in her God and had been a devoted member of the former Saint Joseph Church Women's Guild for many years. She was a great cook and had a special recipe for stuffed shells that was always a favorite of family and friends. She also had a love for listening to old country music and attending concerts.

Donna enjoyed traveling to the Cape but most especially she loved going to New Brunswick, Canada to spend time with her in-laws and extended family whom she shared a very special bond with over the years.

Her love for life and family was shared with her beloved husband of 30 years Charles J. Bastarache; her devoted & loving children Nicole M. Bastarache and her fiance' Anthony Camilli of Waltham; Michelle L. Bastarache and her fiance' Thomas Piantedosi of Waltham; Robert J. Bastarache of Waltham; and the late Jessica Mae Bastarache; her father Robert J. Landry of South Carolina; her sisters Deborah "Debbie" Cormier and her husband Paul of Billerica; Danielle Landry of Lowell; and the late Dianne Boucher. In addition she is survived by her very close in-laws, many nieces, nephews, extended family, numerous friends who loved her dearly and her beloved dog Lexi. She will forever live in the hearts and minds of those she leaves behind to cherish the memories that she made in just a short period of time with everyone.
