Linda Marie (Bounker) Favreau

Of Waltham, passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning January 20th, 2021 in the comfort of her home with her loving family by her side at the age of 82.

Born on July 11, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan; daughter of the late Norman Bounker and Edna (Leger) Bounker. Linda came to Waltham, Massachusetts at the age of 8 and has been a resident since.
Linda attended St. Charles High School where she was an outstanding Basketball Player and Captain of the team known as the "Blonde Bomber"

She retired from the former Waltham Hospital and enjoyed her first job as a Bank Teller at Watertown Savings Bank for many years.

Her life revolved around her family, she enjoyed every minute spent with her children and grandchildren. She proudly attended every Sporting Event and every Academic Achievement Ceremony in support of them.
Linda had a strong faith in her God and was a faithful and devoted parishioner of Saint Charles Borromeo Church in Waltham.

She was predeceased by her husband (Ret.) Waltham Police Officer Robert E. Favreau in 2000 and her beloved daughter Dr. Tracy Favreau in 2017.

Linda is survived by her loving & devoted children Kelly Favreau Cooper, Michelle Favreau and John Paul Favreau all of Waltham; her cherished granddaughters Jordan and Madeline Cooper both of Waltham. Her sister Kathy Peterson and brother-in- law Charles Michael Peterson and their sons and wives. Stepsister Marie Egan and her spouse William. Sister -in -laws Gloria Favreau of Florida , Joan Favreau of Falmouth, Ma. and Kathy Byrne Demers (Favreau). In addition, she is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends who loved her dearly.

She was predeceased by her siblings Jeanette Leger Ryan, Edgar Leger Jr. Shirley Leger and Joan Marchand.

For the safety of those we love and care about during this difficult time, and for those who wish to pay their respects to Linda and her family can do so in accordance with CDC, Federal, State and Local guidelines in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, Waltham, MA., on Tuesday Jan. 26th from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m.

Following the Archdiocese of Boston guidelines, family & friends are welcome to gather and celebrate Linda's life and remember the love she shared with those she touched at a Funeral Mass at Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 920 Trapelo Road, Waltham on Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m.
