Mary Ann Scalisi
Of Waltham, entered eternal rest & peace Sunday December 27th, 2020 at Maristhill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Waltham after a long illness at the age of 58.
Born on July 19, 1962 in Waltham; beloved daughter of Mary F. (Dudley) Scalisi and the late Vincent D. Scalisi. Missy was a lifelong resident of Waltham.
A graduate of Waltham High School with the Class of 1980; Missy furthered her education at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst graduating with a degree in Horticulture.
Missy had been employed as a Horticulturist with Mount Auburn Cemetery In Cambridge; Drumlin Farms in Lincoln; and with PETCO of Waltham. She had a passion for caring and nurturing animals. Her love of the wildlife allowed her the opportunity to be a licensed Falconer; professionally trained to handle raptors such as a falcon, hawk or owl. She had a love of the outdoors and gardening.
Missy is survived by her beloved mother Mary; cherished daughter Pauline Arsenault of Waltham and her devoted and loving brothers Vincent A. Scalisi and Timothy Scalisi both of Waltham. In addition she is survived by a niece, several nephews, close friends, and extended family who loved her dearly.
For the safety of those we love and care so much for, a Celebration of Mary's Life will be held for family & friends when social distancing guidelines allow.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Mass Audubon's Drumlin Farm, 208 S Great Rd, Lincoln, MA 01773
