Obituary for Yung-Tuane Ni (Ni)

Yung-Tuane Ni, 73 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 3rd 2020 at Metrowest Medical Center. Yung-Tuane is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Rei-Jen Ni, son Benjamin Ni, daughter Samantha Gao, her husband Aaron and their three children – Kristina, Olivia and Victoria, brothers Yung-Cheng Ni and Yung-Chih Ni as well as many other extended relatives who love and will miss him dearly.
Yung-Tuane was born in Nanking, China and moved over to Taiwan with his family at the age of 2. He studied structural engineering and obtained his Master’s degree from the Asian Institute of Technology. He had a fulfilling career in civil construction, spending many years overseas in Indonesia, Jordan, Singapore managing road construction projects before returning to Taiwan. In Taiwan, he continued to contribute his expertise and experience and never really stopped working until he had a stroke in 2016.
Yung-Tuane was a kind man with a big heart who worked hard his whole life. He enjoyed watching movies and was particularly fond of the James Bond series. He also enjoyed capturing meaningful family videos and pictures and creating CDs documenting the family’s time together. He had so much pride in his children and grandchildren and was happiest spending time with his family. Special Thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Metrowest Medical Center ICU for their special care during Yung-Tuane Ni’s hospitalization.
Due to the current spike in Covid-19 and out of genuine concern for the safety of those we love and care about during this difficult time, relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation in accordance with CDC, Federal, State and local guidelines in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, Waltham, Ma. Funeral Services will be livestreamed. This will be followed by visitation on Saturday Nov. 14th from 10:00-11:30 am for local friends who may wish to visit and say farewell. Please let Aaron or Samantha know if you plan to visit in person. We are truly grateful for your prayers and support.
