Sandra Ann Hughes
Of Waltham passed away suddenly at age 44 on Saturday September 12, 2020. Born on the 6th day of June 1976 in Waltham Hospital. Sandra was a graduate of Waltham High’s Class of 1994.
As a passionate volunteer at the Salvation Army she consistently pushed herself far beyond her comfort zone to ensure positive change by helping others. As a beloved daughter, sister and mother she possessed a bottomless reservoir of patience and tenacity with high hopes of changing the harsh realities of the world by making meaningful contributions to everyone she served and knew.
Sandra was predeceased by her father, George Thurber. Left to cherish her memory are her Sons. Matthew C. Hughes of Waltham, Sawyer Chaplin of Bradenton, Florida and Zachery Hughes of Brockton, Ma. Her mother Joyce Hoey and husband Dennis of Waltham. Sisters Carlene Bussey and husband Chris of Brockton, Ma. Melissa Hood and husband Daniel of Acton, Ma. Her loving brother Scott Hughes of Halifax, Ma. and her special friend and partner Eric MacEachern. We will miss her humble spirit and kindness but she will remain forever in all of our hearts.
