Howard J. Walsh, 86,
Of Waltham, passed away on August 8, 2020 after a brief illness.
He was born in Cambridge, Ma, on September 14, 1934, son of the late Michael and Isabel Walsh.
He was an iron worker for several years until an injury left him unable to work. But he was quick and proud to tell everyone of all the buildings he worked on in Boston.
After his injury he devoted his life to caring for his mother after she had a stroke which left her bedridden.
Instead of putting her in a nursing home he selflessly and tirelessly cared for her at home for several years until her death.
Howie enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He loved to be outside in his yard and being in his screen house. He enjoyed watching all sports, pro & college teams, it didn’t matter to him.
Howie will be remembered by everyone as a loving uncle, devoted friend, friendly neighbor and a kind and gentle soul.
He leaves his 3 nieces Sharon Bruce, her husband Lloyd Long, Michell Bruce all of Waltham and Debra Dube of Orange Ma, several great nieces and nephews and his beloved dog" Chica"
Brother to the late Raymond Walsh & Ruthie Bruce and he was uncle to the late Donna Legere of Waltham.
Due to Covid 19 and out of concern for those Howard loved and cared for; the family will gather to celebrate Howard’s life and remember the love he shared at a private Graveside Funeral Service in Mount Feake Cemetery.
The Brasco & Sons Memorial has assisted the Walsh Family with arrangements.
