Carol E. Cullington
Of Belmont, passed away passed away peacefully Saturday July 4th, 2020 in her summer home at the age of 75.
Born on July 19, 1944 in Cambridge; son of the late Edmund Henry Cullington and Anna Mary (Sportum) Cullington. Carol was a lifelong resident of Belmont while summering in Dennis for many years.A graduate of Belmont High School with the Class of 1962; Carol furthered her education by attending the Brockton Hospital School of Nursing.
Carol spent her entire life in the healthcare industry as a Registered Nurse throughout almost every major Boston Hospital. She was instrumental in founding and establishing the Boston Endoscopy Center in Wellesley and Harvard Vanguard Endoscopy Clinic in Boston. She was a longtime member of the Massachusetts Nurses Association.
In her spare time she loved entertaining others; baking, cooking, gardening and most especially spoiling her nephews and great nieces and great nephew.
Carol is survived by her devoted & loving sister Diane C. Jones and her late husband William D. Jones of Medfield; her dear nephews Chris Jones and his wife Elizabeth of Marshfield and Michael Jones and his wife Kate of Medfield; her cherished great nieces Ellie, Abby and Carolynn; and great nephew William. In addition she is survived by many cousins and extended family.
Out of genuine concern for those we love and care deeply about during this difficult time throughout the world and our community funeral services and burial at Belmont Cemetery will be held private for the family.
A public Memorial Service will be scheduled for a later date.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the VNA Hospice of Cape Cod in South Dennis.
