Donna M. (Ricci) DeVito
Of Waltham, passed away peacefully on Thursday March 18th, 2021 in the comfort and care of Care Dimensions Hospice Home in Lincoln after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 72.
Born on April 28, 1948 in Boston; beloved daughter of Eleanor (Capobianco) Ricci and the late Francis S. Ricci. Donna was born and raised in Waltham and had moved to Lexington for 15 years before moving back to Waltham where she spent most of her life.
Donna was a graduate of Waltham High School with the Class of 1966; growing up she worked on the family farm off of Trapelo Road in Waltham. As a young woman Donna worked for Graphic Micro Film in Waltham, Raytheon Corporation, Giant Superstore and Smith Klein & French. Donna later had been employed as an Administrative Assistant for the Charlesbank Garden Apartments in Waltham for the Antico Family until her retirement.
She loved nature and flowers, Iris's being her favorite; she had a passion all types of arts & crafts; but her greatest enjoyment in life came from spending time with family and friends especially her grandchildren. Donna always looked forward to her Thursday morning breakfast of coffee and bagels with her daughter and grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Michael DeVito.
Donna is survived by her devoted & loving daughter Stacy Lombardi and her husband Daniel of Waltham; her step-son Carl DeVito of Escondido, CA; her cherished grandchildren Daniel Lombardi Jr., Dylan Lombardi, Jessica Lombardi and Casey DeVito; her beloved mother Eleanor (Capobianco) Ricci of Waltham; and her dear siblings Stephen F. Ricci and his wife Nancy of Waltham; Therese A. Ricci of Waltham; William G. Ricci and his wife Deborah of NH; and Thomas J. Ricci and his wife Lisette of Hudson. In addition she is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends who will miss her dearly.
Family & friends are welcome to gather and celebrate Donna's life and remember the love she shared with those she touched at a Funeral Service in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons on Saturday morning March 27th at 11:00 a.m.
