ANTHONY LOUIS GRACEFFA

Of Harvard, passed away unexpectedly Friday June 19th, 2020 in his home at the age of 76.

Born on September 18, 1943 in Waltham; son of the late Luigi Graceffa and Giovannina (Papia) Graceffa. Anthony was raised in Waltham, graduated from Waltham High School in 1961 and had resided in Stow and Harvard for many years.

He served honorably and proudly with the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant in the Medical Services Squad during the Vietnam War.

Anthony owned and operated Harvard Bowling Lanes in Harvard, Massachusetts for over 40 years.

In his spare time, "T" enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and belting out a few tunes to the likes of Elvis and Dean Martin.

Anthony is survived by his loving children Debra Graceffa of Oakland, CA; Andrew Graceffa of St. Petersburg, FL; Laura (Graceffa) Potter of St. Louis Park, MN; and Sara Graceffa of Ft. Myers, FL; his cherished 2 grandchildren Nora Potter and Luc Potter and his dear siblings Vincent Graceffa of Waltham; Stephen Graceffa of Waltham and Josephine (Graceffa) German of Foxboro; in addition, he is survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

My deepest sympathies to the family of Tony. I just heard about his passing this morning. I had many conversations with him about real estate here in Gardner and he was a lovely person, easy to talk to and so very pleasant to me. Each time we traveled through Harvard past the lane we would always mention his name. He will be missed by many people who knew him here.

I would like to extend my deepest condolences to Tony’s family and friends.
As a bowler at Harvard Lanes on a league for 30 years I saw Tony at least once a week for 9 months of all those years.
He always had that big smile and always singing to his favorites at the end of the day.
He would be concerned if anything happened to anyone on the league and would ask if they were okay. He had a big heart to go with that big smile. May he Rest In Peace. He will be very much missed and remembered by many.
Thoughts and prayers.🙏🏼

On behalf of the Shirley Thursday Night Ladies league, I wish to say that Tony was a part of our lives for many years. His easy smile and his concern for each of us was always evident and I think he enjoyed watching us bowl and have fun. He frequently joined us at Christmas parties shared a few laughs as well. We will always remember him and want to express our condolences to his family. Rest in peace Tony! We will all miss you! --Jackie, Roberta, Amy, Carol, Pat, Ruth, Rosemarie, Karen, Diana, Becky, Linda, Diane, Pam, Alicia, Rachel, Caelan, Jess, Ashley, Liz, Judi, Joann and Donna

Bowling on the Shirley Women's Bowling League has been the highlight of my week for approximately 25 years. Tony was always happy to see us, give us a smile, sing a tune, give a hug , commiserate or celebrate with us and always wish us well. He is dearly missed. So sorry for his family's loss and ours.
