Obituary for Sergey Pavlovich Arkannikov

Sergey Pavlovich Arkannikov

Born on August 21, 1938, in Tambov, Russia. His mother Anna Arkannikova (Retired as Lt. Colonel) and his father Pavel Dokin (Retired as a General) were military surgeons.

Sergey later moved to Leningrad, Russia where he finished school and later earned a Master's degree in Textile Engineering. For most of his career, he worked as a Software Engineer in Leningrad.

Sergey also loved acting and reading poetry, he was part of theatre and television productions (One televised play). Sergey also wrote poetry, some of his work published in the United States. He welded figurines out of metal. He was an avid hiker and mountain climber in his youth and traveled throughout the USSR.

In 2001 he and his family moved to Massachusetts from Russia, where he continued to raise his youngest son Dmitriy. Sergey is survived by his widow Elena, his sons Nikolai, Alexander and Dmitriy and his daughter Inna.

For the safety of those we love and care about during this difficult time, for those who wish to pay their respects to Sergey can do so in accordance with CDC, Federal and State guidelines in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, Waltham, MA., on Wednesday afternoon June 17th from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m.

The family will gather to share their love and support for one another during a Private Funeral Service followed by his burial at Mt. Feake Cemetery in Waltham.
