Alex Dalmacy
Of Framingham, passed away at the age of 65 on Wednesday morning, May 13th, 2020 at Newton Wellesley Hospital.
Born on the 19th of February, 1955 in Artibonite, Haiti; son of late Valcena Daulphine and Prosper Dalmacy. Alex was the second oldest of 11 children; 6 girls and 5 boys. Having migrated from Haiti to New York in 1980, Alex settled and lived in Brooklyn, NY, marrying his devoted wife Emetide (St Vil) Dalmacy on January 22, 1986 and having two children Alexandra and Erick.
Since 1998, Alex lived in the town of Framingham, Massachusetts with his family and worked at Newton Wellesley Hospital for 22 years where he shared his warm – hearted spirit as a Distribution Technician in Materials Management as well as other areas of the hospital.
Above all he was devoted to his wife Emetide- his faithful companion and friend whom he shared 34yrs. of blissful marriage driving into work together each day.
Known for his love of family, sense of humor, heart of gold and friendly demeanor with a smile that lit up a room; Alex’s gentle spirit will serve as a constant reminder of the decency and goodness in people. Often referred to by his colleagues as a “true gentleman, epitome of a good guy and team player who never said no to any assignment, he was a friend and hero to us all.” As a huge New England Patriots fan, he enjoyed football and their victories bought him great joy.
Mr. Dalmacy is survived by his wife Emetide of 34 years of marriage, his children Erick, Alexandra and her husband José, his brothers, sisters and his grandchildren Payton, Juliana and Monroe.
For the safety of those we love and care about during this difficult time and who wish to pay their respects, in accordance with CDC, Federal and State guidelines, please join us in honoring Alex in a celebration of his life on Tuesday May 26, 2020 in The Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial located at 773 Moody St. Waltham, Massachusetts, followed by burial in Edgell Grove Cemetery and Mausoleum located at 53 Grove St. Framingham, Massachusetts 01701.
