Obituary for Anne Marie V. Boucher

Anne Marie Vernellia Boucher, age 87

Of Waltham, MA passed away peacefully on May 8, 2020 at Newton Wellsley Hospital.

She was born on January 7, 1933 in Léogâne, Haiti. She was worked as an independent businesswoman selling various goods and ultimately retired at the age of 80. She had a strong work ethic and was known to all as a hard worker. She encouraged her children to pursue their educational goals.

She immigrated to the United States from Haiti in 1989 to join her husband Bienvenue Boucher in New York who emigrated from Haiti before her in 1984. After one month, she and her husband moved to Boston, Massachusetts to live with family. She loved to cook and provide for her family. She was active in her faith. Despite medical complications throughout the years, she persevered and enjoyed the company of her loving family. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Anne Marie was predeceased by her husband, Bienvenue Boucher, and her five siblings. She is survived by her six children: Gladys Boucher of Somerville, Bienaime Boucher of Waltham, Nicole (Clot) Louissaint of Drancy, France, Marie (Paul) Geneus of Waltham, Margarette Boucher of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and Raynald (Ketie) Boucher of Temple, Georgia. She was the beloved Gran to her twenty-five grandchildren: Karl-Hens (Stephanie) Bernadel, Stephane Geneus, and Jonatthan Geneus, Christopher Geneus, Guetchine Geneus, Steve Cherenfant, Ruth Cherenfant, Linda Cherenfant, Patrick Cherenfant, Malaury (David) Joseph, Claura Louissaint, Andy Louissaint, Helena Boucher, David Boucher, Beatrice Boucher, Bienaime Boucher Jr., Ella Boucher, Fils-Amie Boucher, Sarah Boucher, Marie Daphnee (Reginald Philien) Clairvoyant, Carl Henry Laurent, Cliford Boucher, Sephora Boucher, Renee Boucher, and Rebecca Boucher, and five great-grandchildren with two more on the way.
