Obituary for Sergio Aguilar

Sergio Aguilar was a devoted husband, father and committed grandfather. He was born in El Salvador and migrated to the United States at the age of 24 becoming becoming U.S citizen later on in his life. Sergio was a life long resident of Waltham, Ma. A beloved member of the Brandeis community for over 25 years.

Sergio was known for his humble personality, joyous smile, heart of gold, endless stories, infatuation for his family, granddaughters, mother, and his home country El Salvador. He was the only man in his family of 7 women. Sergio welcomed anyone into his life with open arms. He was full of joy, laughter, jokes and full of abundant life advice. After a long day of work, he looked forward to spending his time looking after his three granddaughters any chance he got. Sergio was very well known in his community as well as his home of country, of El Salvador. He will deeply be missed by all who had the pleasure of having been in his presence.


He leaves behind his wife Yolanda Aguilar, three daughters; Jessica Aguilar of Lexington, Ma.,Jennifer Aguilar of Waltham, Ma., Jamie Aguilar of New Haven, Ct., his three granddaughters; Alannah Lopez, Delilah Laureano, Faith Aguilar and his 92 year old mother Ines Vasquez of El Salvador.
