Salvatore N. Tambascia Jr.

Of Waltham, passed away on Sunday morning June 5th, 2022 at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston at the age of 92.

Born on December 21, 1929 in Waltham; son of the late Salvatore Tambascia and Rose (Mucci) Tambascia. Sal was raised, educated and has been a lifelong resident of Waltham.

A graduate of Waltham High School Class of 1948; Sal had been employed as a Printer at Sheldon Press of Boston throughout his life.

Sal devoted his life to his family and his work. He was a simple, but hardworking, devoted and dedicated family man. His family, his friends and his faith were the core foundations of his life.

He had a strong faith in his God and had been a longtime faithful parishioner of Sacred Heart Parish in Waltham.

Sal had a love for all sports teams; he enjoyed watching and following all the Boston teams. In his spare time he spent time working in his garden and walking throughout the city.

He was a longtime member of the Waltham Sons of Italy Dante Alighieri Lodge #648.

He is survived by his loving & devoted sister Antoinette M. "Ann" Tambascia of Waltham. In addition, he is survived by several cousins and close friends who loved him dearly.

Sal was predeceased by his loving parents and his dear brother Dominic Tambascia.

Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Mass in celebration of Salvatore's life to remember the love & friendship he shared with others at Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham on Monday June 13th at 10:30 a.m. His burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waltham. Visiting Hours will be held prior to the Funeral Mass in the Brasco & Sons Memorial Funeral Home, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Monday from 9am until 10am. Parking attendants will be on duty.
